Kyle definitely knows content marketing from his career at WPcurve. The points I found most valuable: - How to deliver good content constantly (= how to use content calendars) - How define what content to put out (this is something I have NEVER read anywhere else, and Kyle's approach makes most sense) - General content creation - the obstacle for most of us (me included).I know content marketing already, so the book mostly confirmed what I read on good blogs and from Kyle himself (=WPcurve blog), but I recommend this book to anyone starting or being intermediate. For me, the part "how to scale content marketing" is the most valuable piece, as it addresses the issues I currently have with it.

As someone new to the concept of content marketing, it took me a while to catch on. I think this book assumes a level of awareness that I just didn't have. I really think that developing a content strategy is really important, and I gained many insights through this book, but I think it was a little advanced for me.I am reminded of an old movie where a football coach said, "Let's get back to fundamentals; this is a football." And one of the players replied sarcastically, "Can you take it a little slower, coach?"If you already know what content marketing is, and are looking for a thorough guide to strategy, this book is really great. But, I'm still at the "what is content marketing?" level.I think the author has many important things to say, and the book is thorough in addressing the elements of content marketing, but I missed concrete examples to drive home the point. I think courses or separate books addressing the elements he talks about with specific examples, even if they are for a fictional company marketing fictional content, would go a long way toward improving the content for me. While the author does include templates as added resources to the book, it would help me to see a completed example of each one, and perhaps a critique of what makes one good, and another not so good. But, I really am at the "dummy" level. But, I would suggest that these added resources are critical, so don't overlook them. For example, the book suggests the importance of a written content marketing strategy, but if you don't download the guide, you really don't get a sense for what such a document would look like. But, I'm probably not the primary audience for this material. If you already know what a football is, you don't want to waste time having it explained to you, again. This book gave me a lot to think about. I think content marketing could help my business. But, I am a bit overwhelmed about how to go about, having jumped into the deep end of the pool without first learning how to swim.

This book really stands out because of its practical focus on systems to support consistent, high quality strategic content creation. There are plenty of resources for learning how to write better copy, but this one shows how to do it week after week, year after year, without missing a beat. I'm particularly excited about using these methods to speed up my painfully slow copy-writing without compromising on quality. And looking to the future when some of my work may be outsourced, these systems will ensure a consistent, authentic voice, no matter who is contributing to the copy.Kyle Gray is a compelling storyteller, with an inspiring message. When he asked, how do you want to change the world with your content, he spoke to the mission at the centre of my business, to make holistic teeth healing strategies mainstream. He places copywriting in a broader context of relationship building rather than just selling. He articulates what I felt intuitively, which is that our ideal audience are not only customers ready to buy, but readers who may become advocates, collaborators or contributors even if they never make a purchase. This is an invaluable lens through which to focus on purpose of your copywriting. When you have a mission that is bigger than just getting more customers,

Great book for anyone looking to build the their brand. Kyle has direct real world experience that he brings to the book. He has great examples from large companies all the way down to startups and small businesses. Here are some of my favorite take aways from the book include concepts likeCreate a lead magnet that helps with each problemCreate a welcome series for each core problemBuild relationships with influencers who can speak to each problemHe goes into details on these topics and many more.he also has a ton of free resources that you can access throughout the book, that are more than just fluff they are specific guides that you can use.I will be reviewing this book in more detail as I continue to tell my story and build my brand and presence as a self-published author. This is going to help me build my presence and also I will be using many of the techniques in my books as well.I highly recommend The Story Engine

Kyle Gray wrote THE book on "content marketing" and this is it! If you have not yet used content marketing (or used it successfully) then you owe it to your business to READ THIS BOOK.Gray cuts through the "content marketing" jargon to thoroughly and clearly explain what you should be doing (and why). He covers how to use the system efficiently to get the best results with the least effort and expense. For a fraction of the cost of online courses or high-priced masterminds he lays out for you the simple steps to put content marketing to work for you.An incredible bargain and a reference you're sure to keep handy and refer to often.

Sales and marketing are fantastically variable beasts to tackle. Entrepreneurs frequently overlook the fact that it is possible to be very talented in some aspects of them and utterly ignorant in some others. I'm a great example of this phenomenon. Put my in a closed room with one other person, and I will deduce exactly what I need to say to them in order to get them to do what I want, such as buying a product from me. I know how to construct an effective narrative for almost any situation. However, what I am absolutely terrible with is spreading a narrative far and wide. To me, that's the difference between sales and marketing. Sales is about action. Marketing is about awareness. While sales is more or less a timeless, principled process, marketing is constantly changing with modern cultural and technological standards. That's where this book comes in. The Story Engine will give you a useful approach to immediately implementing the marketing methods of today to get your effective narrative out to the audience where it will create action.
